CITY OF PHILADELPHIA LAUNCHES FIRST TAX AMNESTY PROGRAM IN OVER TWO DECADES

PHILADELPHIA PA-For the first time since 1986, the City of Philadelphia is offering individuals and businesses delinquent in paying city taxes an opportunity to settle up on what they owe. While not a \”free pass,\” those who participate in, and qualify for, the Philadelphia Tax Amnesty program will have all of their tax penalties waived, as well as pay only half the interest owed. However, time is of the essence, as the Philadelphia Tax Amnesty period is only available for fifty-four days, May 3, 2010 – June 25, 2010.

According to Philadelphia Business Journal, The program, which is projected to bring in a net $25 million to $30 million, is so far meeting expectations, the city Department of Revenue said. Now two weeks in, Philadelphia’s tax amnesty program has taken in $2.3 million in gross collections.

2010 American Cancer Society Relay for Life

Hi family and friends,

Come and help our team the Cancer Sinkers in our efforts to sink cancer!!! This event is amazing and there is a survivor event with a luncheon that kicks off the relay. The Relay for Life is an amazing event that signifies that cancer never sleeps.

I am the captain of the Team the Cancer Sinkers in the 2010 Relay for Life in Haddon Township on June 5, 2010. I would love for you all to join me in the fight against this deadly disease. It begins at 12 on Saturday June 5th and runs through the night til June 6th but you do not need to stay the whole time. There is a survivor lap for anyone who has cancer and won, theres a luminaria event where at night candles are lit for ones lost and there is a celebration of life! There are activities for kids, adults, music, events, food, prizes and a great memorable time for all. I am also including the names of deceased and survivors on our team shirt, please also consider sponsoring our team shirt. Attached is the tshirt information. Or consider joining my team and if you cant, please consider making a tax deductable donation.

I have attached the form for sponsoring our tshirt. You can also sponsor a luminaria bag in memory of a loved on, or sponsor a sign at the relay. ALl the forms are attached and our team gets credit for any illuminarias, or signs.
