Thank You to Postal Workers for Food Drive

On behalf of the volunteers of the Helping Hand Food Ministry I would like to thank the Gloucester City Postal Workers for organizing the food drive last week. It was very successful and added greatly to our food supply.

A special thank you to the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and their leaders; the Gloucester City Lions Club, the Gloucester City Lions Leo Club from Gloucester High School and their advisor, Rachel Clancy; the Gloucester High students who helped, the individuals from local churches, and Pastor Bill Dilks, Jr. of the Highland Park Church of God. Everyone worked together to unload the trucks, sort and store all the food items and clean up.

We appreciate all the work of everyone who participated and the generosity of all the residents who so generously contributed food to the drive. Thank you for helping us to help others in our community.

The volunteers of the Helping Hand Food Ministry who work every Friday in this endeavor are Rev. Al Connor, Director along with Cathy Bintliff, Louisa Llewellyn, Sara Lavecchio, Mary Jane Nash and Larry Conner.
