From June 28–July 4, the 2010 AT&T National will be contested at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, PA. An exciting field of the top 120 PGA Tour professionals from around the world will be in the region to compete for $6.2 million in prize money. Tiger Woods is the defending champion and has committed to playing in the event despite his recent neck injury.
Aronimink was named home for the event in 2010 and 2011, as preparations are underway for the 2011 U.S. Open at its traditional home at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, MD. This is the first time since the 2002 SEI Classic that a Tour event has been held in the area.
The tournament raises funds for the Tiger Woods Foundation, local youth charities, and pays tribute to our Armed Forces. Aronimink Golf Club was the host site of the 1962 PGA Championship, the 1977 Men\’s U.S. Amateur, the 1997 Jr. Amateur, and the 2003 Senior PGA Championship.
