On June 2, 2010. Age 73. Of Willingboro. Loving Husband of Marie L. Beaugris (nee Felix). Cherished father of Jean-Eddy, Emmanuel, Stanley (Louis), Kant, Paul, Wills, Pegy, Enaouidi, Barbara, Alberte, Stephanie and Betty. Devoted Brother of Michel-Brass and Rose. Beloved grandfather of 14 and uncle of Gilberte Moradfar.

Marcel was born in Haiti and was a teacher in St. Louis, Haiti. Marcel moved to Canada and the United States. He lived in New York City and most recently, Willingboro.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his viewing on Friday, June 11 from 10 am to 11 am at the Corpus Christi R.C. Church: 63 Sylvan Lane, Willingboro, NJ 08046. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am in the church. Interment Morgan Cemetery, Cinnaminson. There will be no evening viewing and no viewing at the funeral home. Behind the pitching of Cody Brown and Mike Shawaryn, and a two-run double by Elliott McCummings in the seventh inning, the Gloucester Catholic High School baseball team defeated Morristown Beard 7-5 to win the Non-Public B state title at Toms River North High School. The title is the 14th for the Rams — the most in state history — and the seventh under coach Dennis Barth, who completed his 17th season at his alma mater.

Gloucester Catholic dominant in softball victory

On Saturday, the Rams\’ balanced attack pummeled Lodi Immaculate, 11-1, to win the Non-Public B state final. It was Catholic\’s first state crown since 2003. \”It\’s been like that all year,\” said Gloucester Catholic coach Joe Matranga. \”We have some big hitters on the team the Shayla Giosias, Olivia Lawrences and Colleen O\’Donnells but throughout the whole year 1-9 helped us win some other games, like they did today. Hagerty helped herself with a fourth-inning home run in her final official at-bat as she was intentionally walked her last two times up. She crushed a Kelly Hage offering to left to give the Rams a 3-0 lead.

Gloucester Catholic nabs baseball championship

TOMS RIVER The script didn\’t go exactly as planned for the Gloucester Catholic High School baseball team in the Non-Public B state championship game at Toms River North Saturday afternoon. The resilient Rams still found a way to write themselves a happy ending. They rebounded after an early deficit, held onto the lead despite the best efforts of North Jersey champ Morristown-Beard and their own miscues, and found a way to claim a 7-5 victory and extend their record to a 14th state title since the statewide playoffs began in 1971.

Stella Cowgill, of Gloucester City Grandmother of 29, Great Grandmother of 37 and Great Great Grandmother of 9

On June 5, 2010, (nee Sheeler) of Gloucester City, NJ, age 97. She is the beloved wife of the late George S. Cowgill, loving mother of Howard (Jan) Cowgill and Sue (Lloyd) Lunemann and the late George, Joseph and Bill (Pat) Cowgill. She is also survived by her dear daughters in law Joan and Mary Cowgill, and was the cherished grandmother of 29, great grandmother of 37 and great great grandmother of 9.

Mrs. Cowgill was a long time resident of Gloucester City, and was active in the Gloucester City Senior Citizens Club and the Townsend C. Young VFW Post #3620 Ladies Auxiliary.

Relatives and friends are invited to meet Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and again Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the ETHERINGTON-CRERAN FUNERAL HOME, 700 POWELL ST., GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro, NJ.
