Bellmawr School Board Honors Students,Teachers and Staff

Several of the Third Grade students from Ethel M. Burke School read their own statements as to why they took part in the children’s cancer fundraiser.

President Jamie Casey then presented the May Board Award to those students who took part, and lauded teachers Ms. De Vault and Ms. Heller, who organized the event.

The Board’s new combined meeting format began at 6 p.m. with the workshop portion, which flowed right into the regular meeting at about 7:30 p.m.

Although some were not present, presentations were made to former members Ron Henry and Mary Di Mattesa for their years of service, as well as retiring teachers Ms. Bein, Mrs. Keyek, and Mr. Skibbe.

Then, Superintendent Annette Castiglione presented the following May Staff Awards: Bell Oaks, Daria Moore; Bellmawr Park, Kay De Angelis; Ethel M. Burke, Nicole Warrington.

Moore will be traveling to Japan to teach in the fall.
