Chrysler Financial Services Americas to lay off up to 290 in Chalfont

Chrysler Financial Services Americas said it will cease operations at a call center in Chalfont, Pa. and transfer the work to locations in Dallas and Jacksonville, Fla. — laying off up to 290 Philadelphia-area employees in the process. Chrysler Financial said the exact number of layoffs will depend on how many employees accept another position within the organization and how many leave before the layoff date of Aug. 31. Because the transfer involves non-union employees, they have no bumping rights. The Chalfont office is located at 1100 Manor Drive.
