On August 26, 2010. Age 51. Of Blackwood. Formerly of Voorhees. In the loving arms of his Lord and Savior. James leaves behind his best friend and soul mate, Betty M. (nee Stokes), his beloved wife of 12 years. Devoted son of the late James W. Hansen and Phyllis W. (nee Meade). Loving father of Angela (Bill), Jessica, Jimmy III and Amber. Loving grandfather of Aubrey. Dear brother of Cynthia (Bernie) Maloney, Theresa Hansen and Steven (Lizzie) Hansen. Loving uncle of Krystina and Michael.

James was a member of the Community Wesleyan Church in Blackwood. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his homegoing service on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at the Community Wesleyan Church: 508 Woodbury – Turnersville Road, Blackwood, NJ. Visitation from 11:30 to 12 noon. Memorial Service 12 noon in the church officiated by Pastor Joe Bruckler.

On August 29, 2010. Age 82. (nee Pine) Of Magnolia. Beloved wife of 63 years to James E. Hannold, \"R2\" formerly of Gloucester City. Loving mother of Mary Lou and William S. Adams of Gloucester City, Sandra Lee and Thomas Adams of Stratford, Terri Lynn and Paul Taggart of Metuchen and her predeceased infant daughter, Lori Ann Hannold. Loving grandmother of Michelle and Kevin Biehl, Timothy Adams and his fiancée Melissa \”Missy\” Listman of Voorhees and Jennifer Adams of Stratford. Dear sister of Olive Mae (nee Pine) and Joseph Driscoll of Bellmawr, the late Jack Pine and predeceased infant sister, Rosetta Pine. Loving sister-in-law of Lois and John Shelton (nee Hannold) and Dolores and William (nee Hannold) and Henrietta Hannold (nee Romero) wife of the late Frank W. Hannold, Sr. all of Gloucester City. Loving daughter-in-law of the late Frank E. and Doris Hannold (nee Stubbs) of Gloucester City. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins from Gloucester City and beyond, and her dear friends from Magnolia and surrounding communities.

Mary was a member of the Gloucester City High School Class of 1945. Mary was a proofreader at Curtis Publishing Company in Philadelphia in her youth. She served as a truant officer for the Sterling Regional School District for seven years and volunteered for numerous organizations throughout her lifetime, including The Girl Scouts of America, St. John of God, Magnolia Democrat Club, Magnolia History Club, and the Magnolia Women’s Club of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs. Mary Hannold was a grassroots advocate for political and social issues that impact the welfare of children and families, and had a special interest in children with disabilities and youth in crisis. Mary was a loving, kind and gracious woman all of her life, and lived a life of \”service above self.\”

 

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Mary’s viewing on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 PM and again Friday morning from 9 to 10 AM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City.

Federal Jobs Offered Just for Veterans

The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) is looking for a few good veterans. As part of an effort to hire more veterans at the federal level, the OPM is conducting a special hiring event for military and former military personnel. Currently, a number of federal job openings have been reserved for them and will continue to be until Aug. 24. Visit FedsHireVets.gov for a full listing of openings.

The pool of jobs available includes positions with VA, OPM, and the Departments of Army, Treasury, Education and Transportation, along with other federal offices and outposts. The event offers work in fields like legal, computers, technical, human resources, administrative and technical, among many other professional areas.
