The Brooklawn Wiffleball Reunion opened the 21st Annual Reunion on Saturday by honoring former contributors Bob Barth and Dan MC
Carthy. Both men were fixtures and important to the reunion during the first 20 years. Both fine men passed during the past year and on Saturday, the Brooklawn Wiffleball Reunion was renamed in their honor and the tourney will be known as the Bob Barth / Dan Mc Carthy Wiffleball Reunion.

With a new name and 130 players signed on to compete in this tourney, a new scheduling format was used and many pre-tourney favorites found it difficult to compete. But, in the end only a few early favorites found themselves within striking distance of the Championship game.
Gaetano’s with Kevin, Casey Fahy, Kevin Rebstock, Mike Sharky and free agent Bud Blackiston beat defending Champions Tummy Tee’s 2 – 0 when Sharkey homered and doubled in a run in the 8th inning. A classic pitcher’s duel with Kevin Fahy allowing 2 weak hits throughout the contest and losing pitcher Jerry Collins allowing 3 hits.
