Scotty Mathurin (Mahwah, NJ/Mahwah) is a junior defensive back for the Lions football squad. Mathurin is a criminlogy major and has provided relief to those who suffered hardships following the 2009 earthquake in Haiti.
Q: What has been your individual focus on the field in preparing for this season?
SM: My individual focus on the field this year is to become more of a leader. I want to expand my energy to not only the guys that will see the field, but also to the guys who will be on the sideline cheering us on.
Q: What runs through your mind about the 82-yard kickoff return touchdown in the season opener
Question: What is the discussion and/or vibe amongst players as you head into challenge of the 2010 season?
Scotty Mathurin:
The biggest vibe amongst the players is to keep the tempo up. Over the last two years one could say that we lacked of intensity at times. This year we are going to be more aggressive and loud!Q: What has been your individual focus on the field in preparing for this season?
