Mayor William James and Gloucester City Council approved the transfer of the plenary, retail consumption license during last week’s meeting.
The license was transferred from the Auld Dubliner at 157 S. Burlington Street to Louis J. Faragasso Jr., and the mayor wished the new owners good luck.
Faragasso said he is looking forward to serving the customers, plans to make definite improvements, and hopes to open by late November.
James asked Farragasso to tell the story of how he decided to come into the City and establish his business here.
\”It was through the need to follow a detour through the City, and my friend and I thought this would be a great place for a business,\” he said.
A renewal of alcohol beverages consumption and a club license was granted to Pat and Jack’s Tavern at 129 Atlantic St.
