In an effort to increase safety, the Board of Commissioners approved a \”no left turn\” restriction for vehicles turning onto Black Horse Pike from 4th Avenue. This intersection is across the street from Wawa\’s entrance and exit. The amendment is to the borough\’s Traffic Ordinance, and the new law will take effect once the sign is installed.

In other news leaf collection will commence this month, said Commissioner Bruce Greenwald, who advised residents that collection schedules will be posted around the borough in the coming weeks.
Commissioner Andrew Gilmore said the Fire Department responded four fires, three mutual aid calls and six accidents in addition to many other calls in the month of October.
The all-volunteer department has logged over 36,098 hours to date.
Last month the Police Department received 394 calls for crimes including assault, burglary and drug offenses. Also, there were 28 adults arrests, including one for aggravated assault on a police officer and two for soliciting.
