Lighting the Way to Connect Philadelphia to the Delaware River-cnbnews.net

Last evening, Mayor Michael A. Nutter and the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation (DRWC) officially lit the first phase of the Race Street Connector Project, a combination of design elements and public art built to enhance the quality and the ease of access from Old City to the Race Street Pier and the riverfront. The enhancements include improving the pedestrian and bike experience, a major new public art project – a live-feed LED screen attached to the I-95 overpass over Race Street, showing real-time abstracted images of the surface of the Delaware River and a dramatic light screen along the right-side wall of the three underpasses between 2nd and Race Street and Columbus Boulevard.

Pitman (12) at Gloucester City (13) – Football – NJ.com

Ben Boyer and Larry Spann racked up 332 rushing yards to power the Gloucester High School football team to its first victory of the season — a 13-12 win over Pitman in West Jersey Football League inter-division play.

Pitman pulled to within 13-12 on Ryan Noon’s 75-yard fumble return for a touchdown with six minutes left in the game, but the Lions preserved the lead when a 2-point pass attempt was incomplete.

Both teams are now 1-4.
