HARRISBURG – Pennsylvania Game Commission Executive Director Carl G. Roe today announced that 53 of the 57 licensed elk hunters were successful during the 2011 elk seasons. Of that total, 19 were antlered elk and 34 were antlerless elk.

A Look at the Larc School, Bellmawr

The Larc School is a non-profit, special education school located on Creek Road in Bellmawr.

The school offers programs for students with disabilities who range in age from 3 to 21, with an adult program.

All of the classrooms are bustling with stimulating learning activities each school day from 8:45 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Auditor Says Mt. Ephraim School District in \”Very Good Shape\”

The Mount Ephraim Board of Education heard the 2010-11 audit presentation by Auditor Robert Stewart of Inverso and Stewart, LLC, during its October meeting.

Mr. Stewart said that the district is in \”very good shape,\” and there are not any recommendations.

Resurfacing Of West Browning Road In Bellmawr Boro Has Begun

Bellmawr Mayor and Council announced that resurfacing work would begin on West Browning Road the week of October 31 during last week’s Council meeting.

An unnamed source indicated the milling and re-surfacing would begin on or around Thursday November 3.

The affected section will extend from West Browning Road (at Belmont Avenue) to East Browning Road (at Lewis Avenue), with both drivers and area residents being duly notified.

Gloucester City Council Lends Support To Passenger Rail Line

Gloucester City Council approved a resolution to support the Southern New Jersey Transit’s plan for a passenger rail line through the City during its work session October 20.

The proposed new rail line from Camden to Glassboro along the existing Conrail right of way tracks would include a station in Gloucester City.
