press release
Haddon Heights, NJ – Today, Congressman Andrews (photo) announced that the United States Department of Transportation has awarded a $1.46 million grant to New Jersey Transit to better serve South Jersey Veterans’ transportation needs and create high-tech jobs. The money will be used to modernize the Camden Travel Management and Coordination Center (TMCC) with new in-vehicle technology, including cameras and computers that will help drivers locate passengers.
The installation of this new technology will create an immediate demand for skilled electricians and IT workers in South Jersey, which is significant given our current job crisis.
