(Woodbury, NJ) – The Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders and Prosecutor’s Office is kicking-off the start of summer with an awareness campaign to promote swimming pool safety and prevent drowning before the summer heats up.
Tom Calhoun of Bellmawr, whose five-year old son accidentally drowned last July at a residential pool, will be participating in the county’s safety campaign and speak briefly on Thursday June 14th at Greenwood Park Bells Lake Community Club, located at 50 Bells Lake Drive, Turnersville, who will open their club to the public on from 1 to 3pm. Families will have the opportunity to participate in water safety activities, receive information on water safety, sun safety which includes free dermascan screenings ( a tool that allows you to see how the sun effects your skin) and free giveaways.
