The 18th Annual JCAA Tournament took place on June 9th, 2012. Everyone reported having a terrific time. The Tournament had 397 boats competing in 10 ports. This was the lowest number of entries which means the participating boats had the best chance ever to win a port prize. We were competing against the greatest early striped bass season ever. The 10 port prizes are listed below.

This document provides information regarding phony refund schemes related to military disability compensation. 

 Background

Emails are being sent to individuals, including military members, military retirees, and civilian employees, which appear to be sent by Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS). Although the email appears to come from DFAS and displays a .mil email address it is actually from a non-government email account. 

The emails indicate that individuals who are receiving disability compensation from the Department of Veterans Affairs may be able to obtain additional funds from the IRS. These emails are not issued by DFAS.

PHILADELPHIA ─ The Coast Guard is searching for a 26-year-old man in the Delaware River here Monday.

Missing is Jose Ortiz who was last seen wearing a white tank top and jean shorts.

At approximately 10:40 p.m. Sunday, a member of Philadelphia Fire Dispatch notified watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay, in Philadelphia, reporting Ortiz was missing.

The annual Governor\’s Surf Fishing Tournament is held on the first Sunday in October at Island Beach State Park. In 2012 the tournament will be Sunday, October 7.

\"AnglersA variety of species are eligible for entry in the tournament each year. Overall length determines the winner. All fish must meet minimum length tournament requirements.

The individual who catches the overall largest fish wins the \”Governor\’s Award,\” and has his/her name engraved on the Governor\’s Cup, which is permanently displayed at the park. Coast Guard suspends search for missing swimmer in Atlantic City, NJ

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — The Coast Guard suspended their search Monday for a missing 10-year-old boy who was last seen swimming near the boardwalk here Sunday night. 

Crews searched the area from Atlantic City to Longport, totaling 85 square miles.
