(Gloucester City News May 31, 2012) There will be several contested races in the Primary Election Tuesday, June 5.

On the Democratic side, U.S. Representative Rob Andrews (D-1) is being challenged by newcomer Frank Tenaglio.

U.S. Senator Robert Menendez and Camden County Sheriff Charles Billingham are running unopposed.

In the race for Camden County Board of Freeholders, Jeffrey Nash, Ian Leonard and Michelle Gentek are being challenged by Michael Leonetti for three seats.

GLOUCESTER CITY

In the City Council election, incumbent Dan Spencer is facing a challenge in the Democratic Party from Michael Walters for the Ward 1 seat.

Running unopposed are James \”Bowie\” Johnson in Ward 2 and Helen Lynn Bucher and Jay Brophy in Ward 3.

The Republican Party has three candidates running unopposed for City Council: Dave Townsend in Ward 1, and Lisa Lopez and Anthony Wojtkowiak in Ward 3.
