Allen, commander of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force, told CBS correspondent Lara Logan. \”We\’re going to get after this. It reverberates everywhere across the United States. We\’re willing to sacrifice a lot for this campaign, but we\’re not willing to be murdered for it.\”

PHILADELPHIA – Sophomore midfielder Jake Nelson has been named the Philadelphia Soccer Six Player of the Week as he registered the game-winning assist against Bucknell (Sept. 25) and the game-winning goal against Loyola (Sept. 29). Freshman midfielder Tim Lazorko, who also earned the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week nod, has been named Philadelphia Soccer Six Rookie of the Week.

President Obama at the DNC: Too Little Too Late

(Washington, D.C.) – Today, Tom Schatz, President of the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste (CCAGW), issued the following statement in response to President Obama’s acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention (DNC):

\”The Democratic National Convention started with the news that the national debt had reached more than $16 trillion and ended with the news that job growth in August was weaker than expected,\” said Schatz. \”The labor participation rate is at 63.5 percent, its lowest level since 1981. The question for voters is just what does President Obama want to ‘finish,’ as he said in his speech last night? Whether or not he gets a second chance will be decided in 60 days.

Consumer Alert: Buying Medications on Line Be Wary | cnbnews.net

When it comes to buying prescription medicines online, it\’s better to be safe than sorry.

BeSafeRx: Know Your Online Pharmacy, a new public education campaign by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), is aimed at helping consumers understand and minimize the risks of buying medicines online.

In a recent FDA survey of Internet users, 29 percent of participants reported they are unsure how to safely buy medicines online. Still, more than 20 percent of respondents reported using the Internet to buy prescription medicines.

PHILADELPHIA – Saint Joseph\’s softball team will host the Rocci Pignoli/Nick Cinquanto Memorial City Six championship this Friday and Saturday at the SJU Softball Field. Drexel, La Salle, Penn, Temple, and Villanova will round out the field that features all six of the Division I softball programs in Philadelphia. This tournament will honor the late Rocci Pignoli and Nick Cinquanto.
