Former Giants, Jets Standouts HighlightNJSIAA Bollinger Hall of Fame \”Class of 2012\” Inductees

 

William \”Billy\” Ard and David Szott among those enshrined

 ROBBINSVILLE, NJ (December 4, 2012) — A New York Giants Super Bowl XXI hero and a retired Jetsstandout are among the 11 Garden State sporting luminaries inducted into the NJSIAA (New Jersey StateInterscholastic Athletic Association) Bollinger Hall of Fame\’s class of 2012.

William \”Billy\” Ard, who retired from the National Football League with a New York Giants Super BowlXXI ring, attended Watchung Hills High School from 1973-1977. From there, he went on to Wake ForestUniversity on a full athletic scholarship, and as a football star was named to the All–ACC team, along withbeing a Sporting News 1st Team All-American. He played in both the Senior Bowl and Hula Bowl prior tobeginning his NFL career.
