Grand Opening of Small Business in Voorhees on Monday, Jan. 21st
Come join the grand opening of Momma’s Home Made, a family-owned food company run by Daisy Smith and her daughter and partner, Jaconda Bell. Known for their homemade applesauce that people say tastes like Mom’s apple pie, they are expanding their business and creating new products on a store and takeout restaurant combined with a production facility for their products, including several versions of their apple sauce and a new hot wings sauce and apple carrot cake mix. Camden County Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. will be there on Martin Luther King Day, to do the ribbon cutting on the new venture, located at Suite #2, Southgate Plaza, 1225 Haddonfield Berlin Road, Voorhees. The ceremony is at 11 a.m. but the grand opening will go on until closing at 7 p.m., with some free samples along the way. Three generations of this family, from grandmother Daisy to her kids and grand-kids, have helped build this business. Camden County’s economic development team helped them with site selection, applying for start-up funds and small business training, a service they provide for many small businesses and start-ups in the County.
