Ramapo sweeps away Raptors\’ winning streak

CAMDEN, N.J. (April 2, 2013) – The Ramapo College softball team rode the strong pitching of juniorsHarley Masiello (West Milford, NJ/West Milford) and Nicole Schneider (Hillsdale, NJ/Pascack Valley),who made four unearned runs stand up, as it posted a doubleheader sweep over Rutgers University-Camden, 1-0 and 3-1, in New Jersey Athletic Conference action here Tuesday afternoon.

The Roadrunners’ sweep put a sudden end to the Scarlet Raptors’ 13-game winning streak, the fifth-longest string in program history. Rutgers-Camden, which hadn’t lost since the second game of a doubleheader against Wilkes University March 3, falls to 16-5 overall and 2-2 in the NJAC.

Ramapo improves to 9-7 overall and 2-2 in the NJAC.
