JERSEY CITY, N.J. (May 3, 2013) – Junior Dan Allen (Egg Harbor Township, N.J.) of the Stevens Institute of Technology baseball team was named New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Association Player of the Week after his performance over the past six games. Stevens went 5-1 last week and closed out the regular season with a 2-1 win over NJCU to finish the year 23-17 overall.
Allen recorded a .429 batting average (9-for-21) and drove in nine runs. He also scored six times and stole six bases with five walks. In the fourth game of series with Utica, Allen posted his 100th career hit, 40th RBI of the season on a double and earned his fifth save on the year.
