On May 2, 2013. Age 52. Of Brooklawn. Formerly of Gloucester City and South Camden. Loving Companion of 13 years to Jackie Burdick. Cherished step-father of Jennifer, Kelly and Little Jackie. Beloved Pop-Pop of Peyton, Joey, Kira, Alturo, Tino and Alaina. Dear Nephew of Lucille \”Lucy\” Dutkiewicz. Beloved Cousin of Dawn Goldschmidt, Lisa Harvey and Eddie Putkiewicz. 

 

Anthony enjoyed old movies, John Wayne and loved his Polish food. He was formerly a foreman and truck driver for American Shower and Bath Company. 

 

At the request of the family, cremation was private and there will be no services.

GHS Wins Jim Kelly Tournament, Beats Woodbury

GLOUCESTER CITY NJ–The host Gloucester City High School Lions won their own \’Jim Kelly Tournament\’ in honor of longtime coach Jim Kelly 11 – 1 over visiting Woodbury. The Lions advanced to the Championship by beating Gateway while Woodbury moved on with a win over Riverside. The Championshiip game postponed twice due to weather and ended after 5 innings by the Mercy Rule.

Gloucester scored 4 times in the first inning and never looked back. The Lions offense was led by Senior catcher Thomas O\’Donnell who blasted a 340\’ homerun and John Lindeborn\’s two double.

Lions\’ Steven Bobo scattered 4 hits and 1 run over 5innings pitched

Eleanor M. DiPonziano (nee DiNardo), on May 4, 2013, of Blackwood, formerly of Glendora, age 93.

Beloved wife of the late Paul A. DiPonziano. Loving mother of Carol Browne (the late Ted), Charles DiPonziano (Gina), and the late Paul. Devoted grandmother of Kevin (Michele), Doug (Sherri), Darren (Davi), Jessica, Nicole and Christian and great grandmother of 5. Dear sister of Freddie DiNardo (Anne) and Mary Montieth. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Eleanor was a vibrant woman who truly enjoyed life, especially spending time with her family. She was previously a very active member of St. Jude RC Church in Blackwood and enjoyed playing Bingo and going on casino bus trips.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Tuesday morning from 9:30am to 10:45am at Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Jude RC Church, 402 South Black Horse Pike, Blackwood, NJ 08012.

Funeral Mass 11am at the church.

Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chews Landing.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Eleanor’s name to the Central Association of the Miraculous Medal, 475 E. Chelten Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19144.

Emily Cabrera, Mary Kate Kersting and Raelyn Jensen all had two hits forSayreville, which trailed, 2-0, in the second before scoring all six runs in the fourth. Erin Fitzsimmons recorded five strikeouts and no walks. Taylor Torre had two hits for Old Bridge.

\"U.S.Joseph M. Kelly, 80, of Bellmawr, entered into rest on May 2, 2013. Born June 26, 1932 in Philadelphia.

Beloved husband of 57 years to Patricia Kelly (nee Cressler). Devoted father of Patricia Cascia (Joe), Joe Kelly and Eileen Kelly. Loving Pop-Pop of Drew Kelly (Aracelis) and Joseph Cascia and great grandpop of Drew, Sophia, Cheldany and Kenneth. Dear brother of Mary Ellen Schweikert (Pete).

Joe graduated from Bartrum High School and served in the US Army at the White Sands NM Missile Range. He was employed as a plumber with Philadelphia Local 690 and as a pipefitter with Campbell Soup and several construction sites. Joe was a member of VFW Post 9563 in Bellmawr.

Services and interment private at the request of the family.
