Grand jury indicts onetime Pagan\’s Motorcycle Club \’enforcer\’ on gun charge | Tampa Bay Times

TAMPA (August 1, 2013)— June was not a good month for Kenneth DiFranco, 56, once known to law enforcement as the Florida \”enforcer\” for the Pagan\’s Motorcycle Club.

He wrecked his truck on U.S. 19 in Hudson on June 17. He told troopers people wanted to kill him. He was also believed to be driving drunk. And he was on federal probation after a decade in prison for crimes that included being a felon with a gun.

So it wasn\’t helpful when troopers at the crash scene found a .380-caliber semiautomatic pistol and six rounds of ammunition poked into the Dodge Dakota\’s cup holder console.

DiFranco, whose aliases include \”Animal\” (as a given name) and \”Perez\” (as a family name), was on the leading edge of America\’s tattoo craze, with more than 200 as of December 2000, even before the ink dried on a federal prison sentence that ended in January 2012.

Bail for Box-Cutter Robber Remains at $100,000

press release

WOODBURY NJ (August 2, 2013)– request to release a man charged with using a box-cutter to rob a woman in the parking lot of the Burlington Coat Factory store in Washington Township NJ on 7/13/13 was denied today (8/2) despite the defendant’s statement to police that he meant her no harm and \”was just hungry.\”

The case against Robert P. Sands Jr. (DOB 3/7/85), no known address, \”is significant,’ and he also faces 2011 sexual assault and receiving stolen property charges, Superior Court Judge Walter L. Marshall Jr. said in denying a request to release Sands on his own recognizance.

Sands lawyer Ron Appleby said his client returned from Florida and is \”very eager to deal with the new charges. Assistant Gloucester County Prosecutor Vincent Malfitano, objecting to any reduction in Sands’ $100,000 bail on robbery and weapons charges, said he robbed the victim by holding a box cutter to her stomach. When arrested, he told police, \”yeah, but I was just hungry. I wasn’t going to hurt her,\” and he apologized, Malfitano said.
