Robert J. DiGennaro, age 62, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2014.

Legacy
Bob was born and raised in Woodbury. His passion was educating and sharing life’s purpose and accomplished that as a Teacher in West Deptford Twp. Bob was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the United States Poet’s Society. Bob will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family
Robert was predeceased by his loving parents Gabriel and Elizabeth (nee Valerio). Survived by his dear brother Kenneth and many relatives.

Graveside service on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 1:00 pm at New St. Mary’s Cemetery, 515 West Browning Road, Bellmawr, NJ.

father of Michael W. Daley, Jr. (Marie), Mark E. Daley, Robert A. Daley and William J. Daley (Ann). Loving Grandfather of Eric, Cassie, Elizabeth, Ashley, Jesse, Michael W. Daley, III; Amber, Robert, Jr; Daniel, Mary and Logan. Beloved great-grandfather of Connor and Olivia. Michael was a lifelong resident of Gloucester City and was a dedicated mechanic for 30 years with Schurr Truck Sales in Deptford.

(December 28, 1931 – September 21, 2014)

Mildred M. Panetta Pflugfelder, on September 21, 2014, of Runnemede. Age 82.

Beloved mother of Kurt Pflugfelder (Lisa) and the late Michael Pflugfelder. Loving grandmother of Kurt, Jennifer, Michael and Shannon and great grandmother of Kyler. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Mildred was a member of St. Maria Goretti RC Church in Runnemede and the Runnemede Seniors.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service 1pm Thursday at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE.

Interment private.

Mr. Frank W. Acito, Sr. age 82, of West Deptford

Frank W. Acito, Sr. age 82, of West Deptford, NJ passed away on September 21, 2014 peacefully at home.

Legacy
Frank was a loving gentleman who always saw the positive in others and had an encouraging word. As soon as others met Frank, they liked him; when they got to know him, they loved him. He saw beauty in nature around him, spent many days sailing, which was his true passion, creating boat models and being a member of the Philadelphia Model Boat Club.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Frank was a resident of Thorofare for the past 26 years. He was a United States Navy Veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the Verga VFW. Prior to retiring in 1992, Frank was a member of the Local GCIU and a member of the executive board.

Beloved husband of 26 years to Cecile Klein; Devoted father of Cheryl Rettinger, Doreen Jeitner, Frank Acito, Jr., Steven Acito, Glenda Beschen, Brooke Lew, Raymond McClintock and Robert McClintock; treasured grandfather of 19 and great grandfather of 3; dear brother of Jacqueline McLain and James R. Acito, Jr. Also survived by half siblings, John, James and AnnaMarie and step brother William Nell.

Hatsumi \”Sue\” Harada (nee Tachiyama), on September 23, 2014, of Bellmawr, formerly of Center City Philadelphia. Age 99.

Beloved wife of the late Masaru Harada. Devoted mother of George (Stella), Arthur, Stanley and Henry (Dorothy). Loving grandmom of ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Mrs. Harada was a member of the Bellmawr Seniors and the Philadelphia JACL.

Service and interment are private at the request of the family.

27 arrested in statewide insurance fraud sweep

HARRISBURG – Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane today announced the arrest of 27 individuals across the Commonwealth for a variety of unrelated insurance fraud offenses.
The recent sweep was the result of investigations by the Office of Attorney General\’s Insurance Fraud Section, the largest law enforcement entity in Pennsylvania with specific authority to investigate and prosecute such crimes.

\”Insurance fraud is one of the most costly white-collar crimes in America today, with estimated losses in the billions of dollars annually,\” Attorney General Kane said. \”This sweep demonstrates the severe penalties for committing these crimes, which increases costs for everyone, including seniors.\”

FORMER GOVERNOR CONVICTED OF ILLEGAL ACTIVITY IN TWO CONGRESSIONAL CAMPAIGNS

A federal jury in New Haven has found former governor JOHN G. ROWLAND guilty of all seven counts of an indictment related to his efforts to conceal the extent of his involvement in two federal election campaigns. The trial began on September 3 and the jury returned its verdict this afternoon. ROWLAND, 57, of Middlebury, served as governor of Connecticut from 1995 to 2004, and in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1985 to 1991.

According to evidence introduced during the trial, in approximately October 2009, ROWLAND devised a scheme to work for the campaign of a candidate seeking election to the U.S. House of Representatives from Connecticut’s Fifth Congressional District during the 2009 and 2010 election cycle, and to conceal from the Federal Election Commission (\”FEC\”) and the public that he would be paid to perform that work. Philadelphia Man Arrested at Deptford Mall for Attempting to Sell One Kilogram of Cocaine

\"Audiosonic-1\"TRENTON –Acting Attorney General John J. Hoffman announced today that a Philadelphia man was arrested without incident on Saturday morning in the parking lot of the Deptford Mall in Gloucester County for allegedly possessing a kilogram of cocaine, worth about $40,000, that was intended for sale in Atlantic City.

Eduardo Colon-Lopez, 36, was arrested by law enforcement members assigned to the Atlantic City Task Force (ACTF), which is comprised of investigators from state, county and municipal agencies. He was charged with first-degree cocaine possession and first-degree drug possession with intent to distribute cocaine. Atlantic County Superior Court Judge Mark Sandson set bail at $250,000. First-degree charges carry a sentence of 10 to 20 years in state prison and a criminal fine of up to $200,000.

A Nine Hour SWAT Incident in West Deptford Ends with a Suicide

A methodical, nine-hour effort by Gloucester County\’s Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) unit began with a gunshot inside a West Deptford Township NJ townhouse shortly before 2 p.m. on Monday (9/22).

After repeated attempts to communicate with the shooter, detect his location with mobile robotic units inside the two-story and basement dwelling and deployment of irritant gas to force him out of the residence, a SWAT team entered the structure and found his body in a basement closet at 11:24 p.m.

State Appeals Court Affirms Conviction in Woodbury Heights Child Sex Assault Case

WOODBURY NJ–The September 20,2012 sexual assault conviction of Victor E. Albarracin (DOB 8/29/79), of Pennsauken, that resulted in a seven-year state prison sentence was affirmed today by a state appeals court.

Albarracin was found guilty in a trial of improperly touching a 12-year-old girl in his former Woodbury Heights apartment on July 10, 2007.
