(NewsUSA) – Pet owners love their four-legged friends. In fact, many are considered a part of the family. However, one thing that dog and cat lovers hate are the fleas that ultimately find their way onto their beloved pet and into the home.
\”Protecting your dog from fleas is an important part of responsible pet care,\” says Caryn Stichler, vice president of marketing for Sergeant\’s Pet Care Products. \”Fleas cause distress for pets, and can cause a condition called Flea Allergy Dermatitis.\”

At least once a week I receive a Tip or comment about the homeless people sleeping on the porch in broad daylight at a property on North Broadway in Gloucester City. The house is empty, and is up for Sheriff Sale. Posted on the front wall of the building is a sign that reads ‘No Trespassing’.
Just today I received this photo from one of our readers.
My first article on this subject was written in July after hearing from someone about it. The remarks I receive have basically been the same……
But the most prominent was this one; JEERS to the city of Gloucester for allowing a bunch of drunken bums to live on a front porch on North Broadway in plain view. This makes the City look so good!!!\”
Last month I spoke with Gloucester City Police Lt. George Berglund about it. He said the department is working on a solution along with the Housing Office. The Mayor is aware of the situation also.

(NEWSUSA)- Have you ever wondered how all of those colorful auto dealership promotion pamphlets arrive in the mail at the exact moment you are contemplating a new car purchase? Oddly enough, they are perfectly timed to coincide with your vehicle-buying needs — and there\’s a reason behind it.
Consider this: In 2012, studies showed that more than 90 percent of consumers began their car search online. This insight, according to Ken Schwartz, founder of InMarketSolution (IMS), a Chicago-based marketing company geared specifically to the auto industry and its potential buyers, provides dealerships with a treasure trove of demographic information.

Paulsboro derailment prompts $150,000 grant
Working with the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Protection and a state climatologist, the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office has secured grants totaling $150,000 for weather monitoring stations to track the direction of toxic gas releases from rail accidents like the vinyl chloride leak in a November 2012 derailment in Paulsboro NJ.
Knowing which way the wind is blowing and at what speed can be critically important in the event a gas cloud forms over a populated area, GCPO critical infrastructure coordinator Bill Donovan said in a 9/17 presentation about the funding.

Washington, D.C.—CREW’s voters already named Wisconsin’s Scott Walker the Worst Governor in America last year, but the Badger State Republican still found a way to sink lower. As evidence piles up suggesting that the governor and his aides illegally coordinated with outside groups to beat a recall effort, Gov. Walker’s political operation once again finds itself in the crosshairs of a criminal investigation. For apparently failing to learn his lesson after the first time CREW called him out, Gov. Walker earned the title of August’s Scoundrel of the Month.
Prosecutors in Wisconsin are investigating whether Gov. Walker and his staff illegally circumvented the state’s campaign contribution limits by coordinating campaign activity with outside groups during a 2012 recall election. Gov. Walker’s allies have repeatedly condemned the investigation as a partisan witch hunt by the state’s Democrats. Documents released last month, however, show Gov. Walker and his aides were deeply involved in fundraising for groups supporting his campaign, especially the Wisconsin Club for Growth. Aides to the governor advised him to solicit donations to the group from major Republican donors, including the Koch brothers and Sheldon Adelson.
