The October jobs numbers reveal that the private sector added 209,000 jobs and the unemployment rate dropped to 5.8%—the lowest since July 2008. Altogether, the economy has now added 10.6 million jobs in 56 months of consecutive private sector job growth, extending the longest streak on record.
