Joann M. Hoke (nee Kowal), on February 19, 2015 of Haddon Township, age 70. Joann was born in Camden, New Jersey to the late Mitchell and Elma Kowal. She dedicated the majority of her adult life to teaching fifth grade students in the Oaklyn Public Schools and St. Rose of Lima in Haddon Heights. As a teacher, Joann encouraged her students to strive for excellence and challenge themselves beyond their expectations. No one was more determined to impart love, generosity, good will and knowledge upon her family, friends and students than Joann, who passed away after a long illness.
