Charged for Drug Possession, DWI, and Multiple Car Burglaries
Totowa Borough, N.J. – State Police detectives have linked Ivan Lukic, 37, of Butler, N.J., to multiple burglary charges, after responding to a one-car crash in Totowa Borough.
Yesterday, at approximately 2:12 p.m., Ivan Lukic was driving a 2016 Volkswagon eastbound on Interstate 80, when he crashed in the area milepost 56.1. Troopers arrived and arrested Lukic for Driving While Intoxicated. Prior to being placed in the troop car, he was searched and found to be in possession of heroin.
Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was stolen out of Paterson, on February 10. Detectives searched the vehicle and seized burglary tools, stolen property, heroin, and Xanax. In addition, investigators have linked Lukic to additional car burglaries in Bloomingdale and Butler Townships.
