7 N.J. prison escapees still being hunted

An Associated Press survey found that there are more than 220 state prison escapees at large nationwide, including the seven from New Jersey.

 It\’s been 20 years since New Jersey has seen an inmate escape a prison and remain free through today — Silva was the last one, having fled from the former Riverfront State Prison in Camden in 1995, according to the department\’s records.
