WOODBURY NJ–Bail was reduced from $1 million to $750,000 today (6/19) for accused murderer Joseph Zambuto (DOB 3/13/81), of Williamstown NJ, after Zambuto’s lawyer called the fatal stabbing of Zambuto’s father a case of self-defense, a claim an assistant prosecutor disputed.
Defense attorney Jeffrey Zucker said during a bail hearing that his client had no prior contact with the criminal justice system and asked for bail to be reduced to $250,000. He called the 5/25/15 confrontation in Zambuto’s home between him and his father, also named Joseph, \”classic self-defense,\” occurring in his client’s bedroom while he had a broken foot.
