GLOUCESTER CITY-The rain Sunday caused flooding again on King Street near the Mill Block Homes. This is the second week residents and business owners had to contend with the problem. see August 2nd article
This is disturbing to the residents living in the Mill Block Homes and is upsetting for the owners of the businesses that line the street across from the Mill Blocks.
I have sent the photos to our City Officials and asked if there are any plans in the immediate future to address this 14-year-old problem. As of yet there has been no response to my question.
Previous administrations spent thousands of dollars on development studies of the King Street corridor. I wonder if any of those plans addressed the flooding problem? You would think it would be one of the things you would have to fix before moving forward on building a waterfront restaurant or more homes.
