Cape May Court House, New Jersey – Cape May County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor and Middle Township Police Chief Chris Leusner announce the arrest of Jamar Lovett 19 year old male, of Middle Township, N.J, for the shooting of a male in the unit block of Swainton Goshen Road, Middle Township, N.J. The victim was subsequently transported to Cape May Regional Hospital where he is listed in stable condition. 

On July 28, 2015, Middle Township Police responded to Swainton Goshen Road for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival officers encountered the victim who related he was jogging on the unit block of Swainton Goshen Road when he was struck in the upper left arm from what he believed to be a pellet projectile.

MOODY PARK EWING NJ July 30, 2015–Brooklawn American Legion won a sixth straight New Jersey American Legion State Title by beating Flemington Legion 9 – 6.

Tyler Mondile was the winning pitcher and the tournament MVP. Brooklawn Legion now heads to the MidAtlantic Regionals in Leesburg, Virginia next week.

MOODY FIELD EWING NJ July 30, 2015 (CNBNewsnet)–The American Legion Baseball state championship games were played after an hour and a half rain delay at Moody Field, Ewing, on July 30, 2015, with Flemington squaring off against defending National Champion Brooklawn. NJ State Commander Mike Babli threw out the first pitch strike. Flemington won the first game, forcing a second for the championship. Brooklawn prevailed 9 to 6 shortly after midnight, earning their sixth straight State Championship. Commander Babli and Frank Calandrillo, state baseball chair, presented awards after the game and a bat bag courtesy of Diamond Sports.

Brooklawn\’s Tyler Mondile was named tournament Most Valuable Player.

CHINCOTEAGUE, Va. JULY 29, 2015 — Crew members from Coast Guard Station Chincoteague helped enforced the safety zone Wednesday at the 90th Annual Pony Swim between Assateague and Chincoteague islands off Virginia\’s Eastern Shore.

Thousands of spectators gathered for the event both on shore and on the water.

The Station Chincoteague crews used the 24-foot Special Purpose Craft-Shallow Water boat for the event.

The annual event gained international recognition after Marguerite Henry\’s children\’s novel \”Misty of Chincoteague\” was published in 1947, and the subsequent release of the 1961 film \”Misty,\” based on the book.

The Treasury Department reported last week the number of Americans who faced fines because of the Affordable Care Act’s individual mandate was significantly higher than the Obama administration expected. For 2014, the IRS projected that roughly 6 million would face fines, but the final total was 1.5 million higher.

It was the first year in which buying health insurance was made mandatory under the ACA, with penalties of $95 or 1 percent of total income – whichever was higher – for people who did not comply.
