Eugene Harrison, 24, was sentenced on Monday to 17 years in state prison. He pleaded guilty in June to one count of armed robbery in connection with a stick-up that resulted in the death of 40 year-old Michael Haller.
Harrison, who also goes by the name Hairston, and a co-defendant, 18-year-old Hassan Dallas of Camden, approached Haller on Vine Street in Camden on October 16, 2012, and walked with the victim to the site of the shooting on the 600 block of Erie Street. Dallas then went into a nearby home, retrieved a gun and returned to rob Haller. The victim resisted and was shot by Dallas.
