CNB Crime: 12 Men Charged with Lewdness-Related Offenses in the Wolfe Neck Parking Area

 

 

LEWES DELAWARE (July 28, 2015) – DNREC Division of Parks & Recreation Natural Resources Police have arrested 12 men this month and charged them with lewdness-related offenses in the Wolfe Neck parking area near an intersection with the Junction & Breakwater Trail.

 

The men were arrested on an assortment of charges, ranging from offensive touching; criminal solicitation; lewdness and indecent exposure; and loitering to engage in or solicit sex. Nine of the arrested men were from Delaware; two were from New York and another from Pennsylvania. Their ages ranged from 49 to 82 years old.

When 9-year-old Billy Hanson didn’t return to Pennsylvania after spending the summer with his father in Seattle, the boy’s mother called her local police department, setting in motion an international kidnapping investigation that led FBI agents halfway around the world to a tiny island in the South Pacific.

What would eventually bring the case to a successful conclusion was the extraordinary collaboration between local, federal, and international law enforcement and other agencies. But on that September day in 2014 when Billy was not on the flight he was supposed to be on, his mother \”was obviously very concerned,\” said Special Agent Carolyn Woodbury, who led the investigation from the FBI’s Seattle Division.

Division of Consumer Affairs Imposes $55,000 in Civil Penalties Against Six Towing Companies

JULY 29, 2015–As part of an initiative to combat predatory towing in New Jersey, the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs has reached settlements with six towing companies that allegedly violated the State’s predatory towing law, with the companies collectively agreeing to pay $55,106 in civil penalties, consumer restitution and reimbursement for investigative and legal costs.

\”Imagine returning to a parking lot and finding your car gone, and being left stranded. Even worse, imagine if warning signs were either not posted or inadequate, in violation of our Predatory Towing Prevention Act,\” Acting Attorney General John J. Hoffman said. \”These actions are part of a larger initiative to make sure that predatory towing does not occur in our state.\”
