(Trenton) – New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced a Twitter account – @NJDOT_info – to provide Department information and updates on road conditions, particularly during winter storms, major events, and during emergency road work.

 \”NJDOT’s top priority is to keep our highways safe and keep traffic flowing,\” NJDOT Commissioner Jamie Fox said. \”This Twitter account is another tool to provide information to the public on road conditions, construction updates, emergency road work, and Department news. DOVER (Aug. 21, 2015) – To achieve public compliance through education and enforcement actions that help conserve Delaware’s fish and wildlife resources and ensure safe boating and public safety, DNREC Division of Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police officers between Aug. 10-16 made 1,819 contacts with anglers, boaters and the general public, including 357 vessel boardings for boating safety and fishing regulation compliance checks. Officers responded to 76 complaints and issued 48 citations, one of which was related to the C&D Canal Conservation Area and associated recreational trail, where there is an increased Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police presence.

Edith M. Goins age 85 of Gloucester City

 On August 22, 2015. Age 85. (nee Hindle) Of Gloucester City. Loving wife of 43 years to the late Robert Goins. Loving mother of Jack Goins (Diane), Patricia Arrera (Paul), William Goins (Anita), Michael Goins (Virginia). Predeceased by her children, Robert Goins, Barbara Carr and Doris Schultz and her brothers John Hindle and William Hindle. Cherished grandmother of 16 and great grandmother of 18.

Edith enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, trips to the casinos, shopping at the dollar store and bingo.

 Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday from 6 to 8 PM and again on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Catholic service 10:30 AM in the funeral home. Interment New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.

William J. \”Bud\” DeFeo,

on August 21, 2015, of Gilbertsville, PA, formerly of Audubon, NJ. Age 93. Beloved husband of the late Charlotte (Curlett). Devoted father of Joan DeFeo Pavlik (John), the late William J. Jr., and father in law of Lisa Blengino-DeFeo-Perillo. Loving Grandfather of Christopher, Mathew (Amy), and John (Danielle) Pavlik, Kristen Pettine (Franco), Kenneth (Molly) and Robert Bechtel. Great-grandfather of Cara, Lauren, Evan, Emma, and Hailey. Caring brother of the late Joseph DeFay (Helen), Helen \”Deak\” Constance (Al Wroten), Paul DeFay, and John DeFeo. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Bud proudly served in the Merchant Marines during WWII and was a maintenance machinist in the dairy industry for many years. There will be a viewing from 11 to 12 noon, Tuesday at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Funeral Service 12 PM at the funeral home. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chews Landing. Obituary: William J. Lewin Sr. of Audubon, Retired PSE&G Employee, Oaklyn Fireman

 

On August 9, 2015, of Audubon, NJ, age 70. He was the beloved husband of the late Josephine (nee Evangelista) and loving father of William Jr., Thomas (Trisha), and the late Brian Lewin.

He was the dear son of the late Roy E. and Kathryn A. Lewin and former husband of Gale (nee Tait) Lewin. Bill is the stepfather of Joseph Iannelli (Lisa), JoAnne McAllister (John), Frank Iannelli, brother of Dorothy Stanger and late Roy Lewin, Jr., and is also survived by one grandchild and 4 step grandchildren.

Bill was a 1962 graduate of Collingswood High School and was an Army Veteran. He had been an employee of PSE&G retiring after 40 years of service and was a member of the Oaklyn Fire Dept. for 25 years. Bill also played softball with the Fire Dept. and the Oaklyn Manor Softball Teams for many years. Bill enjoyed his summers fishing down the shore and belonged to the Strathmere Fishing Club. Relatives and friends are invited to meet Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the CRERAN FUNERAL HOME, 400 WHITE HORSE PIKE, OAKLYN, NJ. Bill’s funeral service will be held 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the request of his family. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to a charity of your choice.
