CNB CRIME: Voorhees Police Offers Plant DNA marking program to deter thefts

The Voorhees Police Department would like to announce through a collaboration between the Camden County Police Chiefs Association and Applied DNA Science that we are participating in the DNA Home Asset Marking Program

The DNA Home Asset Marking Program allows participants to mark their property with invisible DNA materials from a plant provided by the company, along with signs and window decals warning would be thieves. This program is available to residents and businesses allowing them to mark jewelry, tools, etc. The plant DNA is nearly impossible to remove. It can be viewed by police using a special light. If an item with the plant DNA is recovered or located the item can be scanned. If plant DNA marks are located, Applied DNA will return the owner information within 48 hours.
