Investigation: Police Officer \’s Firearm was Discharged in Haddon Twp.

Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Haddon Township Police Chief Mark Cavallo reported an investigation is ongoing into an incident in which a police officer’s firearm was discharged outside a Haddon Township home.

Haddon Township Police were called at approximately 4:46 p.m. today to the unit block of Utica Avenue in Haddon Township.

Police arrived and determined the incident involved two officers from the Audubon Police Department.

Preliminary findings indicate one of the officer’s service weapons had been discharged once in the driveway of the home. No one was injured.

The circumstances surrounding the firearm’s discharge are under investigation.

Obituary | Daniel M. Strang Sr., of Runnemede

Daniel M. Strang, Sr., of Runnemede, formerly of the Fairview section of Camden. Age 81. Beloved husband of the late Margaret \”Peg\” (nee Cassidy). Devoted father of Daniel Strang, Jr., James Strang (Renee), Cheryl Ann Strang, Kevin Strang (Jennie) and Donna Branno (Jason). Loving grandpop of Marc (Carle), Danny (Victoria), Jaime, Jenna, Joey, Connor, Ryan, Cassidy and Anthony and great grandfather of Rylee, Jackson and William. Dear brother of Leon Strang (Dorothy), Wayne Strang and the late Elizabeth and Garrison.

Mr. Strang proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was previously active in Fairview Little League and an avid Eagles fan.

There will be a viewing from 9 to 11am Friday morning at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Funeral Service 11am at the funeral home. Interment Harleigh Cemetery, Camden.

Obituary: Evelyn Adler, age 83 of Mount Laurel

 

 

On September 22, 2015. Age 83. Survived by devoted caregivers. 

Evelyn was born in Vienna, Austria and moved to the United States in her pre-teenage years. She graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts. Evelyn was a self employed and gifted textile artist. She lived in many towns across Cumberland and Salem Counties and recently resided in Mount Laurel. On September 23, 2015, of Bellmawr, NJ, formerly of Collingswood, NJ. Age 91 years.

Beloved husband of 61 years to the late Bridget L. Morrison. Dear father of Diane McCarthy (Kevin), Joseph (Pat), Wilmer, Barry, Loretta Birmingham (Gerry) and David (Debbie). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Mr. Morrison was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and a longtime member and past commander of VFW Post #7361, Collingswood, NJ.
