Garrison was convicted of the crimes on 5/10/13 and sentenced to 52 years in New Jersey state prison. His conviction was overturned 8/17/15 by an appeals court that found testimony about sex offenses Garrison allegedly committed against the victim in another state should not have been introduced in his trial. The New Jersey Attorney General’s Office has petitioned the state Supreme Court to reconsider that ruling. Pending a decision on that petition, bail had to be set on the original charges.
