Donald Norcross Complains The President Is Guilty

While Continuing To Ignore Camden Tax Incentive Scandal

Gustafson says Norcross should “stop whining about this impeachment nonsense.”

COLLINGSWOOD – Claire Gustafson, Republican candidate for Congress in New Jersey’s first

congressional district, called out Congressman Donald Norcross over one of his campaign’s social media posts today. The post said, “The President is guilty & everybody knows it. Senate Republicans are sweeping this under the rug & trying to cover it up from the American people. #ImpeachmentDay”

“It’s laughable that Congressman Donald Norcross who

bragged

he ‘led the charge on getting the Economic Opportunity Act passed into law,’ the very law that led to the tax incentive scandals that Governor Phil Murphy

said

was ‘a rigged system’ and ‘was designed by special interests to benefit special interests’ has the guts to claim anyone is guilty of anything when some of the special interests the Governor was talking about were Donald Norcross’ family members,” Claire Gustafson said, “There was possibly wrongdoing involved with the tax breaks that went to companies that moved to Camden and everyone, including the Governor, knows it.”

Gustafson added, “If Donald Norcross is truly concerned with anyone being guilty of anything maybe he should stop whining about this impeachment nonsense and answer my challenge for him to use the bully pulpit of his congressional seat to have an honest investigation launched into exactly what led to the Camden tax incentive scandal and that if any wrongdoing is discovered those responsible are punished.”

“Maybe, while Governor Murphy is here in South Jersey to headline a fundraiser for Norcross, the Governor can explain why he is supporting the guy who bragged about getting the law passed that led to the ‘rigged system’ the Governor complained about. I and many other folks in South Jersey look forward to hearing the Governor explain it,” Gustafson said.

LOTTERY POSTS RECORD SALES AND STATE CONTRIBUTION FOR FISCAL YEAR 2019

TRENTON (Feb. 3, 2020) –

The New Jersey Lottery posted record sales and a record contribution to the State according to the latest Audit Report for Fiscal Year 2019 released today, which is available for review on the

Lottery’s website

.

In Fiscal Year 2019, the Lottery generated $3.48 billion in sales, a $182 million increase over the prior year. The substantial increase in sales translated into a record contribution to the State in Fiscal Year 2019 of over $1.10 billion, which is used to support New Jersey’s public employee pension system. The success was shared by New Jersey players, who won more than $2 billion in prizes, and retailers, who earned $198 million in commissions.

“Impressive jackpots were an important component of total Lottery sales during Fiscal Year 2019,” said New Jersey Lottery Acting Executive Director James A. Carey, Jr. “Mega Millions had a $1.5 billion jackpot in October 2018 and also brought a $267 million jackpot to a New Jersey ticketholder in March 2019. Powerball jackpots performed well too, with a $687 million jackpot in October 2018 and a $768 million jackpot in March 2019. The high jackpots drove combined sales of the two multi-state games to approximately $521 million.”

In May of 2019, the Division of State Lottery amended the services agreement with its sales and marketing vendor Northstar New Jersey Lottery Group, which revised the formula for calculating the incentive payment owed to Northstar in Fiscal Year 2019 and in future years, and increased the performance targets that are used to calculate any incentive payment owed to Northstar. As a result, the incentive compensation paid to Northstar for FY 2019 totaled $26.1 million, significantly lower than the $33.9 million incentive payment that would have been owed to Northstar in FY 2019 under the previous contractual terms, saving taxpayers $7.8 million. For comparison purposes, in Fiscal Year 2018, the Lottery paid $31.8 million to Northstar in incentive compensation. Under the new contract terms, in FY 2019, the incentive compensation dropped, even as sales increased from $3.299 billion to $3.482 billion.

The Lottery is the State’s fifth largest individual revenue producer benefiting the residents of New Jersey. Since its inception in 1970, the Lottery has contributed over $28 billion to the State, helping to bolster the public employee pension system for teachers, police and fire personnel and other public employees, as well as supporting businesses and communities throughout New Jersey.

Gloucester Township Police Alert: It\’s Tax Time- Avoid The Scams

Thousands of people have lost millions of dollars and their personal information to tax scams. Scammers use the reg

ular mail, telephone, or email to set up individuals, businesses, payroll and tax professionals.

The IRS

doesn\’t

initiate

contact with taxpayers by email, text messages or social media channels to request personal or financial information.

Note that the IRS does not:

Call to demand immediate payment using a specific payment method such as a prepaid debit card, gift card or wire transfer. Generally, the IRS will first mail a bill to any taxpayer who owes taxes.

Demand that you pay taxes without the opportunity to question or appeal the amount they say you owe. You should also be advised of

your rights as a taxpayer

.

Threaten to bring in local police, immigration officers or other law-enforcement to have you arrested for not paying. The IRS also cannot revoke your driver’s license, business licenses, or immigration status. Threats like these are common tactics scam artists use to trick victims into buying into their schemes.

Here is what the IRS will do:

If an IRS representative visits you, he or she will always provide two forms of official credentials called a pocket commission and a

HSPD-12

card. HSPD-12 is a government-wide standard for secure and reliable forms of identification for federal employees and contractors. You have the right to see these credentials. And if you would like to verify information on the representative’s HSPD-12 card, the representative will provide you with a dedicated IRS telephone number for verifying the information and confirming their identity.

Collection

IRS collection employees may call or come to a home or business unannounced to collect a tax debt. They will not demand that you make an immediate payment to a source other than the U.S. Treasury.

The IRS can assign certain cases to private debt collectors but only after giving the taxpayer and his or her representative, if one is appointed, written notice. How to Prepare a Car for Sale

Gloucestercitynews.net (February 4, 2020)–Every driver has at least once experienced the necessity to sell his/her means of transport. When this happens, the price at which it will be sold is crucially important. There is the possibility to refer to an agency and let an experienced vendor sell it. However, in this case, the amount of money one will get is considerably lower than in the event of selling on one’s own.

Hence, if you are looking for ways to sell your automobile and get as much money as possible, it makes sense to fulfill this by oneself. There are several hints that may help you out with this process.

The first step one should make is to carry out his/her Toyota or

Lexus VIN check

so that to make sure that the info available on VIN lookup services is true. In general, a car report contains valuable information on servicing, maintenance, repairs, accidents, etc. However, it may happen that something is missing, like important maintenance that has been carried out on time. In such a case, it is necessary to find corresponding documentation that may confirm this.

Tips for Getting Ready to Sell

Let your automobile look attractive. In other words, let it shine like a new coin – wash it inside and outside and clean seats, ceiling, and floors. If necessary, you can also polish it. Besides, it is necessary to check if there are any corroded parts. It is better to get rid of this and repaint these parts. The cost of this work is lower than the discount you will have to make when a potential purchaser finds this corroded element.

Take good pictures to post them with the announcement on the sale. Check the web and see which pictures are uploaded on such platforms. To increase the chances that a potential buyer will want to acquire your vehicle, it is recommended to upload as many pics as possible. In such a way, people will be able to decide if they like an automobile or not before seeing it. You will at least save time instead of meeting those who won’t purchase it.

Remember about a reasonable margin. Undoubtedly, a purchaser will bargain. Make sure that you can provide a discount. However, it is essential to remember that the price cannot be overestimated so that not to frighten potential buyers.

Be honest and answer all the questions. People who acquire pre-owned vehicles understand that the condition cannot be perfect. If there is a defect or trouble, it is better to honestly reply to this question. The truth will be revealed, and this deal will not happen.

It is not so easy to sell an automobile unless you are a professional vendor. However, selling own vehicle provides a great advantage as buyers are more prone to trust owners than vendors. Having this benefit, it is crucial to present your machine in the best possible way so that to increase the chances to sell it at the desired rate.

What did

Olympia

do?
