Experience the thrill of live thoroughbred racing and watch the Kentucky Derby action on the giant in-field television. Enjoy our picnic grove. No charge Family Fun from 12pm – 5pm in the Picnic Grove featuring pony rides, moon bounces, face painters, and more. Plus, live Music by Ear Candy from 1pm – 5pm, food & beverage specials, souvenir merchandise, and much more.

2) PJ Clarke’s Philadelphia

PJ Clarke’s Philadelphia at The Curtis Building (601 Walnut Street) will host a special Kentucky Derby Viewing Party and all day specials through the end of the race, plus Derby decor at the bar. Ladies and gentleman of Philadelphia are invited to the grand sweeping bar in Old City and Historic Philadelphia for a special menu of exclusive Derby dishes including Pimento Cheese Spread on Toast Sourdough Points, Kentucky Pecan Pie (Empanada), Knife and Fork Ribs, French Fries and Creamy Slaw and Hushpuppies with Cilantro Jalapeno Aioli. From the bar look for Kentucky Mule and Mint Juleps on special $10. The Derby will be on for viewing on PJ Clarke’s giant television walls behind the bar. The vibe is perfect for the occasion for those wanting to get dressed up for a more swanky day on the town for the Derby – with the handsome wooden bar with red leather bar stools, dark woods and historic art and photo pieces surrounding. Wear your favorite fascinator or Derby hat – or come as you are.

3) Yards Brewing

Yards will host a Derby Day Viewing Party with the most exciting 2 minutes in sports on the televisions with sound, prizes, food and drink specials and more.

The televisions will be on with sound! There will be prizes for best hat/best dressed. For the race each table will also be assigned one of 20 horses in the field and if your table wins 1st 2nd or 3rd your bill will be discounted 40% for 1st, 25% for second and 10% for third. look for food and drink specials as listed below:

While Maifest takes over the street youtube, head inside to catch the Kentucky Derby on the big screens throughout the bar and Brauer Bund. Come cheer on the winners with the thousands of people in attendance that day! And don’t forget to check out Maifest – the city’s largest German spring celebration with German beer, dancing and the city’s largest Maypole.
