
Surrounded by her family, Barbara passed peacefully on January 5, 2026, at Cooper Hospital in Camden, at the age of 86. (nee Saunders) Of Audubon. Formerly of Gloucester City.
Loving wife of the late Francis P. Donaghy, Jr. Loving mother of Marge Gorman (Matthew), Bill Donaghy and Laura Galm. Beloved grandmother of Jennie, Rachel (Erin), Zachary (Brianna), Shane (Amy), Brian, Kyle and Holly. Cherished great-grandmother of Alyssa and Bryce. She was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her next great grandchild, due June 2026, and will forever be their guardian angel. Dear sister of the late Jeanne Viggiano (Surviving Bob). Also survived by her beloved nieces, Sandi (Rob) and Linda (Steve) and many great nieces and nephews.
Barbara was born in Philadelphia, PA on July 8, 1939 to the late William Coward Saunders and Jennie Craven Saunders (nee Smith). She worked many years delivering the Philly Inquirer in and around Gloucester City. Barbara was a bookkeeper for Midlantic Bank and loved the time she spent as a seamstress where she made mummers costumes. Barbara was a longtime member of Logan Memorial Presbyterian Church in Audubon and an avid fan of the Philadelphia Flyers.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Saturday morning, January 17, 2026 from 10 to 11:30 AM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Funeral Service 11:30 AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Locustwood Memorial Park Mausoleum, Cherry Hill.
