To celebrate the special launch of this new holiday in Philadelphia, Do215 has tapped the talents of local artist Brian Langan to create exclusive commemorative art to celebrate the milestone. His 2026 215 Day work gives off vintage vibes while including a nod to the 250th, and features plenty of Philly jawn to make it a keepsake of the first year’s event. Look for it in poster size at select locations around town.

For background, 215 Day is a celebration of all things local, organized and curated in Philadelphia by General Manager Do215 Ellei Johndro. She was tapped to run the local Do215 market and launch this new day as she has deep connections and contacts in Philadelphia from over the last 17 years. With two decades as a touring photographer, writer / artist recognized mostly under the moniker of Shadowscene, she dove into venue and event management, artist booking and DJing to round out her creative roster. Over the past 17 years she’s watched the city of Philadelphia grow, change and transition all while being a part of integral scenes and businesses that evolved to become essential anchors within the community as well as foster and maintain lifelong relationships with the people who built and sustained them. Her role as the Market Lead and now General Manager for Do215, has allowed her to bring all of this together while helping to yet again, share something with the city of Philadelphia and with 215 Day … create an opportunity to celebrate the culturally rich, unique and constantly evolving city she calls home.

ARTIST BIOS

Rob Paine

Rob Paine’s passion for music runs deep. From the moment he fell in love with music as a youth, he knew what his life’s journey would be, to bring people together through music. That passion has provided the foundation for a diverse and eclectic musical immersion ever since. He has been on a rapid rise from bedroom mix tapes to underground events to DJing internationally since he started out in 1993.

Rob formed Worship Recordings, launched long-running events such as goodie and the Shakedown, and has worked with Lady Alma, Francisco Collazo, King Britt and more local legends. With his musical roots, proven success as a label owner / producer / DJ / event creator, and with his innovative approach to melding electronic dance music, Rob Paine is one of the music icons in the City of Brotherly & Sisterly Love and across the world. His commitment to the city and the world’s music lovers is unwavering, and his unique and diverse vision will ensure his success and our enjoyment far into the future.

DJ Sylo

Sylo has been creating space and moving people as a DJ for a few eras now, primarily on an underground wave in Philadelphia. Currently, he is fresh off a 3 month journey, traveling and gigging across South Africa and Mexico. Now, back planted in Philly, Sylo is sparking up again. His current weekly residency “Gradient,” at the brand new hi-fi “Listening Room” is becoming a bonafide staple, and his sets with Joshua Lang, together as BWC Sounds, have been rocking the city.

“…it feels like we’re finally going to get to tell the world the story”

Tunes from Sylo, some solo… and some featuring members of the city’s flourishing music scene, are on the way.

G I N A

G I N A, the Philadelphia-based DJ and producer has been an undisputed force in the underground music scene for over a decade. From a cacophony of grimy acid to severe electro and voracious EBM, Gina’s DJ style is a daring amalgamation of strict beats and slick sensibilities. Her spectrum of music knowledge—including italo rarities, rave classics and goth anthems—foster a forward-thinking palette of mechanized sound that’s never confined to any singular genre. Even though her sets pulse with brash attitude, there’s an innate delicacy in her pacing that creates passionate, spellbinding  moments in the thralls of each set.

Unsurprisingly so, Gina has formed her own community as the booker at Philly’s dance institutions The Dolphin and The Barbary. It’s here, in the tempestuous, dark enclaves of these clubs, that she’s fostered a thirst for an energy that’s both debaucherous and electrifying. Her commitment in this pursuit has led G I N A to expand to a residency at Brooklyn’s new hot spot, Gabriela, as well as the parties Rhythm Of The Night, Shadowplay, Darker Disco, Fvtvre Favorite and DJ sets on The Lot Radio, Boiler Room & Rinse FM, where her debut was chosen as Resident Advisor’s Mix of the Day. Additionally, she’s released her own dynamic tracks on Bound NYC and Cake Productions.

Shearn

Shearn has been DJing professionally in Philly since 2010 and is 1/3 of the Philly 90s house monthly party “Rhythm of the Night” at the Dolphin Tavern. He’s been providing tunes in bars and clubs across the city on a regular basis, sometimes vinyl only, most notably at Johnny Brenda’s and the International. Shearn also hosts a monthly radio show streamed live on Philly’s Great Circles radio/record shop. His musical roots are based in the foundations of funk, soul, disco, and boogie by utilizing his extensive record collection and is constantly scouring the dance music world for cutting edge, modern underground production.  Shearn has provided opening support for countless world class DJs and producers such as DJ Harvey, MK, Danny Krivit, Matthew Dear, Soul Clap, Skream and more. He has taken the show on the road with multiple guest appearances in Brooklyn, as well as Miami during WMC, Detroit during Movement, Pittsburgh for Hot Mass and even in Phoenix.

Brian Langan

Brian Langan, born and raised in Scranton, PA is a renowned Artist/Musician who relocated to the city of Philadelphia in 2011 and has since made it his home. Working mainly with, but not limited to, bands, event promoters and venues, Brian has become known for his work adorning posters, albums, merchandise and logo art. He’s created numerous designs ranging extensively from murals to hot sauce labels with most of his inspiration being drawn from 1960’s psychedelia, video games, fantasy films and the amazing Cooper Sharp cheese. Most recently, you have seen his work for the full interior creative at Cerveau. Clients of his include: Johnny Brenda’s, Justin Hawkins of The Darkness, moe., Billy Strings, Toby Lehman of Dr. Dog, District Taco, NEPA Horror Fest, Johnny Showcase, The Pat Finnerty Show, Chibson_USA, Shadowscene, The International Bar and Cavanaugh’s.
