Philadelphia, PA – Tuxedos, sequins and just a hint of awkward teenage nostalgia will take center stage when the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts (PSCA) hosts its first-ever Adult Circus Prom on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 7:30pm to 10:00pm, at Circus Campus. Designed for adults who never had a prom – or simply want a redo – Adult Circus Prom brings back the magic, nerves and ridiculous joy of high school prom, this time with confidence, self-assurance, circus performances and a cash bar. Hosted inside PSCA’s atmospheric campus, an old church that once served as a school, the night playfully blurs past and present, with aerial apparatuses hanging overhead, circus artists moving through the space and moments of spectacle unfolding between dances. The result is a familiar setting transformed into a celebration of who we were, who we are and how much more fun it is now. Look for two spaces for Adult Circus Prom – the main event for grown-ups 21+ under the cathedral style ceilings and circus apparatuses upstairs, and a separate supervised babysitting space for parents and caregivers to drop off their children (5 and up) in the downstairs circus space. Tickets for the Adult Circus Prom are $35 per adult or $60 per couple. Childcare services are $30, or save $5 when enrolling siblings. Tickets are on sale now at phillycircus.com/upcoming-shows-events/
“Adult Circus Prom is a night to laugh, connect and give yourself permission to try something new,” said PSCA Executive Director Kitsie O’Neill. “PSCA exists to make circus arts accessible to all, and this event captures our culture perfectly – no pressure, no perfection, just fun. It is also a great night for those that didn’t feel comfortable attending their prom, so we hope to create a welcoming space for all, including our LGBTQ+ community.”
With no peer pressure, no cliques and no judgment, Adult Circus Prom invites guests to relive the best parts of high school – while happily leaving the rest behind.
This one-of-a-kind evening reimagines the classic rite of passage through the playful, inclusive and daring lens of contemporary circus. In celebration of love in all its forms, guests are encouraged to attend with a partner, a group of friends, or solo, and to dress to impress or express – whether that means up-cycled prom wear, retro glam or sleek modern elegance.
Expect plenty of tongue-in-cheek nods to awkward high school fun – but with an adult twist. There may be a mock “dad lecture” about curfew. Yes, you might make out in a stairwell. No, you won’t get detention. And at some point, as the DJ spins hits from the 1970s through today, you may find yourself in a fever-dream moment, trying to remember the exact steps to the YMCA, the Electric Slide, the Macarena, the Whip & Nae Nae, or whatever TikTok dance everyone else somehow knows.
TWO SPACES – ONE SEAMLESS NIGHT
The event will take place across two dedicated spaces on campus. The Adult Circus Prom (21+) will be held in the main space beneath aerial apparatuses. A separate supervised babysitting space in the lower gymnasium, will be available for an additional fee, offers parents and caregivers a convenient, one-stop option to drop off children ages 5 and up so adults can fully lean into the night.
For childcare, drop your kids off and have them connect with new circus friends while you enjoy a night out! Kids will enjoy circus play, games, and a movie while you check out adult happenings in our space or just have the evening to relax. Parents can even leave their children to dine out locally and come back to dance into the night!
A NIGHT TO REMEMBER
* Live DJ spinning prom classics and crowd-pleasers from the 1970s through today
* An open dance floor beneath aerial apparatuses
* Ambient circus performances woven throughout the evening, with artists appearing between dances to perform short, atmospheric acts that enhance the celebration rather than interrupt it
* Aerial champagne pour, as a circus artist suspended above the crowd who gracefully pours champagne into raised glasses
* DIY origami corsage and boutonniere station, where guests are guided in folding and creating their own wearable paper flowers—keepsakes that won’t wilt at the end of the night. Like the night itself, the flowers don’t have to be perfect to be worth keeping.
* Photo opportunities with a big-top vibe
* Keepsake photos, printed on the spot in true high school fashion—meant for lockers, notebooks, bedroom corkboards, and grown-up spaces too
* A cash bar by Tired Hands Brewing Company with beer and soda
Tickets are $35 for individuals or $60 for couples, with larger groups encouraged.
Tickets are available at phillycircus dot com/upcoming-shows-events.
Come dance, fly, laugh, and celebrate – because prom should reflect your current circle.
