Girard) invites couples, families and friends to the Zoo this February to celebrate the season of love and friendship with a brand-new lineup of limited-time experiences and special offers all month long. The Zoo has the perfect way for animal lovers to say “I love you” to those most dear to them.  Bring your sweetheart (or bestie) to the Zoo Valentine’s Day weekend (Saturday and Sunday) for the new Valentine’s Day Weekend Date Package with two admission tickets, two adult drinks plus a meet-and-greet with an ambassador animal and a takeaway gift created by one of them. On Saturday and Sunday of Valentine’s Weekend, enjoy special Valentine’s Day Animal Enrichment Around the Zoo. Sweeten your Valentine’s Day with Valentine’s Day itself with Cupcake Decorating with one large cupcake with icing, and a variety of toppings to choose from. Every weekend of February, take a romantic ride on the Philly Zoo Pherris Wheel, a new 110 feet tall ride with breathtaking scenes of the Zoo, city skyline, Schuylkill River, Philadelphia Art Museum and beyond. Valentine’s Day Weekend Date Package
Saturday, February 14 or Sunday, February 15
Bring your sweetheart (or bestie) to the Zoo Valentine’s Day weekend for a wild good time! The date package includes two admission tickets, two drinks (a selection of beer or Statesides available along with non-alcoholic options) plus a meet-and-greet with an ambassador animal (between 10:00am-2:00pm in KidZooU South Classroom, next to the giant ant) and a takeaway gift created by one of them. With limited availability, this experience is expected to sell out quickly.

Valentine’s Day Cupcake Decorating
Only Saturday, February 14
Sweeten your Valentine’s Day at the Zoo with a cupcake decorating experience that’s equal parts sweet, creative, and memorable! Each ticket includes one large cupcake with icing, and a variety of toppings to choose from. Decorating will take place in our Tiger Terrace Dining Room. Decorating will be available from 10:00am – 2:00pm.

Valentine’s Day Animal Enrichment Around the Zoo
Saturday, February 14 and Sunday February 15
As you stroll with your loved ones, enjoy additional Valentine’s Day themed animal enrichment featured in habitats across the Zoo. Enrichment encourages our animals to exercise both their bodies and minds and is an important part of animal care.

Take a Romantic Ride on the Philly Zoo Pherris Wheel
All weekends in February
The Philly Zoo Pherris Wheel is a 110 feet tall ride with breathtaking scenes of the Zoo, city skyline, Schuylkill River, Philadelphia Art Museum and beyond. Guests can purchase tickets to the Pherris Wheel online or onsite during their visit. Each gondola can fit up to six guests and the ride lasts about seven minutes. Guests must be at least at least 32″ tall to ride with a supervising adult. The Pherris wheel is located near the Zoo’s Main Entrance at 34th Street and Girard Ave and is open during weekend Zoo hours from 9:30am-3:00pm

Adopt an Animal
All February long
By adopting one of our animals, you help us provide the best care possible! The Zoo’s annual grocery bill is more than a half million dollars. Adoptions help us purchase hundreds of food options for our 1,900 animals, all of which have diets designed for their individual needs by our nutrition team. Choose from 15 species and two adoption levels for any animal lover in your life.

$75 level ADOPTs must be placed by Tuesday, February 10th to ensure shipment of the plushie by Valentine’s Day. Please note that we cannot gua rantee the delivery date as plushies are shipped via USPS. $50 level ADOPTs must be placed by Thursday, February 12, to gua rantee electronic delivery of the adoption certificate by Valentine’s Day.
