Freehold Township, NJ – Michael McGuire, U.S. Marine Corps veteran, retired NYPD officer who answered the call on 9/11, current Naval Reservist, Army JAG selectee, husband, father, and Republican candidate for Congress in New Jersey’s 3rd District, today announced that he has been called to active military duty in support of national security operations.
This call to service is a testament to McGuire’s lifelong dedication to duty, honor, and country. These are qualities that have defined his entire career and now drive his campaign to bring the same selfless leadership to Washington.
“While I answer this call to serve our nation once again, my commitment to the families of Burlington, Mercer, and Monmouth counties remains absolute,” McGuire said. “I’ve worn the uniform on the battlefield, protected our streets after 9/11, and now continue that service in uniform while my campaign fights on at home. The issues are too important to pause even for a moment. We will keep moving forward with the same intensity and resolve.”
McGuire’s campaign team, grassroots supporters, and growing coalition, including endorsements from Congressman Barry Goldwater Jr., the Monmouth County GOP, and the Mercer County GOP, will maintain full momentum during his deployment. The campaign remains focused on delivering real results: slashing wasteful spending, lowering taxes, restoring law and order, and fixing the VA for veterans.
