
(Trenton) – The I-676 southbound ramp from Holtec Boulevard eastbound is scheduled to be closed and detoured Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights as a bridge replacement and paving project advances in Camden and Gloucester City, Camden County. In addition, the I-676 northbound ramp from Holtec Boulevard eastbound is scheduled to be closed and detoured Thursday night.
Beginning at 11 p.m. tonight, Monday, June 8 until 5 a.m. Tuesday, June 9 and continuing on Tuesday, June 9 and Wednesday, June 10 at the same times, the Holtec Boulevard eastbound ramp to I-676 southbound is scheduled to be closed. The closures are necessary for drainage improvements. The following detour will be in place:
Holtec Boulevard eastbound ramp to I-676 southbound Detour:
- Motorists on Holtec Boulevard eastbound wishing to take the ramp to I-676 southbound will be directed to take the ramp onto I-676 northbound
- Take Exit 4/Atlantic Avenue/Kaigns Avenue
- Turn left onto Atlantic Avenue
- Turn left to take the ramp onto I-676 southbound
In addition, beginning at 11 p.m. Thursday, June 11 until 5 a.m. Friday, June 12, the Holtec Boulevard eastbound ramp to I-676 northbound is scheduled to be closed. The closure is necessary for drainage installation. The following detour will be in place:

- Motorists on Holtec Boulevard eastbound wishing to take the ramp to I-676 northbound will be directed to take the ramp to I-676 southbound to I-76/I-295/W Whitman Br/Atlantic City
- Take Exit 1B to Collings Ave/Collingswood
- Turn right onto Collings Road
- Turn left to take the ramp to I-676 northbound
This work is part of a $73.2 million federally funded bridge replacement and pavement improvement project in Camden and Gloucester City, Camden County. The project will replace the I-76/I-676 Bridge over the Main Branch of Newton Creek, the I-676 southbound Bridge over the Main Branch of Newton Creek and the I-76 Bridge over Nicholson Road. In addition, the project will improve safety and pavement conditions on I-76 and I-676, as well as replace noise barriers, upgrade drainage, update sign structures and install intelligent transportation systems (ITS) throughout the corridor.
Construction of precast bridge deck panels began last year and is taking place off-site. Replacement of the bridge decks is expected to begin in fall 2026 and will require lane closures. NJDOT will provide advanced notification of any traffic impacts prior to work taking place.
This work supports the Sherrill Administration’s commitment to improving the transportation network that helps people and goods move safely and efficiently throughout the state.
Variable Message Signs will provide advance notification to motorists of traffic pattern changes associated with the work. The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors.
(Trenton) – The right lane on I-295 southbound is scheduled be closed on Tuesday to implement a two-week shoulder closure on the Bridge over Oldsman Creek between Oldsman Township, Salem County and Logan Township, Gloucester County. In addition, the right lane will be closed on Wednesday, June 24 to reopen the shoulder.

From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, the right lane on I-295 southbound is scheduled to be closed on the Bridge over Oldsman Creek (mile post 8.9). The closure is necessary to place construction barrier and implement a long-term closure of the right shoulder.
I-295 southbound Shoulder Reopening
From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, the right lane on I-295 southbound is scheduled to be closed on the Bridge over Oldsman Creek (mile post 8.9). The closure is necessary to remove construction barrier and reopen the right shoulder.
The two-week shoulder closure is necessary to replace guiderail. Motorists are advised to slow down, use caution and expect delays when traveling through the work zone.
This work is part of a $6.3 million federally funded contract that will replace guiderail and attenuators at various locations throughout Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Salem counties.
Guiderail and attenuator replacement ensures the strength and reliability of transportation infrastructure to protect vehicles from exiting the roadway in the event of a crash or emergency, improving passenger safety.
