Paulsboro Man Charged with Murder 

Woodbury, NJ – Ramon Luis Acevedo, 40, of Paulsboro was arrested and charged by  complaint with first-degree murder, second-degree aggravated assault, and second degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose after a shooting left one dead  and one injured this morning. 

According to documents filed in this case: 

The Paulsboro Police Department responded to a 911 call on Elizabeth Avenue  reporting an adult female with a gunshot wound to the head and a second victim who  had been shot and fled the residence. During the call, Acevedo identified himself and  stated that he had shot both victims.

Philadelphia Police Seeking Public’s Help With Fatal Hit-And-Run Crash

The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a vehicle wanted for investigation in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred at approximately 3:44 a.m. on December 20, 2025, on the 5600 block of Lancaster Avenue. The vehicle involved is described as a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE, red or burgundy in color, bearing Pennsylvania registration MXB-1835. The vehicle is expected to have significant front-end damage, primarily to the passenger-side fender and headlight area, with the passenger-side headlight believed to be damaged as a result of the crash. The vehicle was last seen traveling westbound on the 6000 block of Lancaster Avenue.

Arlene D. Harris, 72, of Burlington

Burlington, NJ. Formerly of Maple Shade, NJ. Age 72. She was the daughter of the late Paul Sinutko, Sr. and Jean (Kuniewicz) Sinutko. Arlene is survived by her sons, Ethan Harris and Stephen Harris, Jr. and her caring team at Complete Care @ Marcella in Burlington, NJ.

Gwendolyn Gail Bear-Raub, 82, Formerly of Allentown, PA

Gwendolyn Gail Bear-Raub (nee Hoffman) passed away on December 31, 2025 at the age of 82.  Formerly of Allentown, PA, Gwen retired as the Assistant Vice President of Training for Hess’s Department Store.

Loving mother of Stacey Inglis of Wilmington, DE.  Devoted grandmother of Aynsley Inglis, also of Wilmington, DE.  Daughter of the late Clarence and June Hoffman (nee Scharadin).  Sister of Malcolm (Sherri) Hoffman, Bonita (Karl) Santa, Jacqueline (Joseph) Miller and the late Margaret “Peggy” Kies.  She is also survived by nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 820 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ.  Funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM.  Interment private.

Camden County Library Systems Enters Into Reciprocal Borrowing Agreement With Other County Libraries
