Charity 5K Run/Walk to Support the Friends of the Camden County Child Advocacy Center

16 New Jersey Towns May Loose Immunity from Developer Lawsuits

The Fair Share Housing Center has warned 16 New Jersey towns that they may lose immunity from developer lawsuits if they do not revise their affordable housing plans by December 31, 2025. The center claims these towns have failed to comply with state law and could be forced to accept high-density developments if they lose their legal protection. The towns include Belmar, East Greenwich, Florham Park, Franklin Lakes, Hanover, Lyndhurst, Madison, Montvale, North Arlington, Park Ridge, Rockaway, Roxbury, Saddle River, Summit City, Toms River, and West Windsor.

Camden County Board of Commissioners Announce Emergency Food Distribution

(Gloucester Township, NJ) – In response to the government shutdown and severe delay in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, the Camden County Board of Commissioners will host an emergency food distribution event on November 12, at Camden County College – Blackwood Campus to assist SNAP recipients and federal employees impacted by the shutdown.

With federal workers entering their second month without receiving a paycheck, and over 75,000 Camden County residents who received a delay in their SNAP benefits this month, the Camden County Board of Commissioners, in partnership with the Food Bank of South Jersey and Farmers Against Hunger, is mobilizing to meet the immediate needs of local families.

Celebrating a Century: 100th Anniversary of Boro Incorporation

The 100th anniversary of Lawnside’s incorporation will be at the heart of the Historical Society’s November meeting. The virtual session will be held on Zoom at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13.
The borough was incorporated by an act of the state legislature in March 1926 and the first election was held that April.
Log in with your best ideas for ways to honor the foresight of the architects of this history that made our small town the only incorporated African American municipality in New Jersey as well as north of the Mason-Dixon line.
No idea is too small or too grand. We’d like to include youth, senior citizens and all aspects of community life over the past 100 years. We’ll need volunteers and willing workers to make 2026 a grand celebratory year.

Missing Juvenile-Quinn Hudson

The Camden County Police Department is looking for missing 15-year-old from East Camden.

Quinn Hudson has been reported missing from the 2000 block of Westminster Avenue. He is described as a black male, 5’7”, 110 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and white pants and is known to frequent Parkside and East Camden.
