Philadelphia, PA – Let the good times roll. Craftsman Row Saloon, at 112 S. 8th Street, announces the launch of its 6th annual Mardi Gras Pop-Up Bar Experience starting Thursday, January 29th through Fat Tuesday. First to bring this vibe to Philadelphia, Craftsman Row is the spot for the ultimate flavors, sights and sounds of The Big Easy. The award-winning Christmas pop-up decorations from December have been entirely replaced by thousands of glittery beads, feathers, masquerade masks and other decor to transport you to Mardi Gras. Umbrella’s hang from the ceiling and jazz instruments poetically add melody to the space. The floor to ceiling transformation continues both inside the dining room and outside in the Craftsman Row Saloon illuminated with the colors of Mardi Gras on the entire building. The over the top decorations guests love, with a little extra magic for the festive flair of the holiday. The delicious over-the-top King of Bourbon Street Milkshake is back, with Po Boys, Crawfish Mac N Cheese, Big Easy Burger, new King Cake Burger, Jambalaya and more. The bar will be pouring the tasty and festive Bourbon Street inspired specialty cocktails they are known for. Cocktails will boast all the NOLA feels and come with masks, beads and other souvenirs and keepsakes.
Rap is more than just a style of music; it is a philosophy that many generations live by. It started in poor neighborhoods and grew to become the most popular music in the world. For many, hip-hop is a way to speak out against problems and express who they are. Even though the music has changed over the years, rappers still write lyrics about important, real-life issues.
The long holidays are coming. This is the perfect time to relax and learn how it all began by watching the best hip-hop movies. We have created a special list of the top-notch movies about rappers. These films are famous “icons” of cinema that every fan should see.
You can watch all of these movies — and 10,000 others — at PolBox.TV, the one of the best Polish television online services. Check the official website, here you can catch their content on any device you like, whenever you want.
The Best Movies About Hip-Hop Culture
8 Mile on the Internet Television
Almost everyone on earth has heard of this movie. It is a legendary film from 2002 and one of the most famous hip hop movies ever made, released when Eminem was still very young. The story takes place in 1995 in Detroit, a city full of problems at that time. A road called “8 Mile” divides the city into two parts: rich and poor, black and white. For the main character, hip-hop is his only chance to escape poverty. He uses music to find his voice in a world filled with social tension and struggle.
Straight Outta Compton via the Online TV
The IMDb rating for this movie is even higher than 8 Mile, and the film is newer, coming out in 2015. It is one of the most powerful movies about rappers, telling the true story of the legendary group N.W.A. Five bold young men from a suburb of Los Angeles completely change the music world. Even though the government and the police try to stop them and censor their songs, they choose to tell the truth. The movie shows how they grow from regular teenagers into the true “lions” of the music industry.
Watch The Up In Smoke Tour on the Polish TV Online
This movie from the year 2000 is a huge hit with viewers and has a great score on IMDb. It stands out among music documentaries and hip hop movies because it focuses on real life rather than special effects. Instead, it is popular because it shows the raw truth. This unique documentary takes you inside a famous music tour featuring Dr. Dre, Eminem, and Snoop Dogg. It is more than just a concert; it shows the “behind-the-scenes” life of these hip-hop giants. The film is full of energy, humor, and real moments.
Watch The Art Of Rap Instead of Boring Channels
In this film, Ice-T explores the history and the roots of hip-hop. He interviews masters of the genre, like Grandmaster Flash and KRS-One. By watching these interviews, you can see how rap music changes people’s lives and helps create the culture we live in today.
Hustle & Flow on the Polish TV on the Internet
If a modern movie had a story like this today, people might say it is “out of date.” However, this film is over 10 years old and describes a tough life from the past. The story is about a man from a small town who works in the streets but dreams of becoming a famous rapper. When a superstar named Skinny Black visits his town, the main character realizes this is his one and only chance to become successful.
Films about lions: stories of strength, leadership and survival
After films about rappers and hip-hop culture, it is only natural to turn our attention to stories in which strength and dominance are shown in a different way — through nature. Lion movies often focus on leadership, responsibility and the struggle for survival. Well-known films such as “The Lion King”, “African Cats”, or classic wildlife documentaries show how lions protect their pride, defend their territory, and earn respect through actions rather than words.
Many viewers are drawn to films about lions because the stories are simple yet powerful. Whether it’s the African savannah or the streets of a big city, the message is the same: only the strongest, smartest and most determined can rise to the top.
It is interesting that modern culture often compares top leaders to predators. Usually, when people search for films about lions, a selection of which can be viewed, for example, on the website https://polbox.tv, they want to see stories about strength and power. The stories of these artists are very similar. They are like “lion movies” in a city of concrete, fighting to protect their place and their success.
Enjoy these masterpieces and many others on PolBox.TV. It is your favorite online television service, and it is always ready for you to watch lion movies, movies about rappers, or whenever you want.
Official Judged Competition Event to Be Held at Lincoln Financial Field
Philadelphia, PA – Philadelphia Mummers String Band Association (PMSBA) announces the 2026 String Band Spectacular, the official judged competition event for the String Band Division. The event will take place at Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 2:00pm, with a rain date of Sunday, February 1, 2026.
The 2026 String Band Spectacular was created to ensure that Philadelphia’s String Bands receive the full competitive spotlight they deserve. Unpredictable and extreme weather conditions on New Year’s Day caused damage to production props and made it unsafe to proceed with the String Band competition as originally scheduled. While the String Bands proudly marched and performed during the parade, the judged competition portion was postponed in the interest of safety.
“This event allows us to properly showcase the extraordinary work, musicianship, and creativity of the String Bands in a safe and professional environment,” said Philadelphia Mummers String Band Association President Sam Regalbuto. “The String Band Spectacular ensures that this historic competition is presented at the level of excellence our performers, supporters, and the City of Philadelphia expect. We are incredibly grateful for the partnership and support of the Philadelphia Eagles, as well as our fellow major Philadelphia sports organizations: the Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia Flyers, Philadelphia 76ers and Philadelphia Union, whose involvement underscores the citywide pride and collaboration behind this event.”

Are you planning on throwing someone you know a surprise party? It is a fantastic way of showing them some true appreciation. If successful, it will make them feel happy, loved, and excited all at once. However, there is the possibility of getting it wrong, and you naturally want to avoid that.
If you are planning a surprise party, then here are five common mistakes to keep in mind so that you don’t make them yourself.
1. Not Taking the Guest of Honor Into Account
You might have a million great ideas buzzing around your head, but what will the guest of honor think? You need to keep them in mind when making each decision. What type of décor do they like? Are they more of a rock band kind of person, or would they prefer a DJ playing the biggest, latest hits? The more you know the guest of honor, the higher the chance you can put on a celebration they genuinely love.
